About Me and My Approach
I’m an art therapist who believes in the transformative power of creativity - especially when held with compassion and attuned presence. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care and offers a gentle, inclusive space for people to reconnect with themselves, explore their inner landscapes, and move toward healing at a pace that feels safe and true.
I support individuals of all backgrounds in reclaiming their stories and cultivating sustainable wellbeing. Whether through clay, image-making, or quiet reflection, I offer a space where people feel seen, heard, and gently empowered - one moment, one mark, one breath at a time.
History and Experience
With over 15 years of experience in creative and therapeutic settings, I bring a grounded, relational approach to Art Psychotherapy. I hold a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy and am a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). My work spans a wide range of settings and life stages, supporting individuals with diverse identities and emotional needs.
Before qualifying as a therapist, I spent eight years facilitating art groups and workshops in community and educational contexts. These early experiences shaped my understanding of how creativity - when offered with care and intention, can foster emotional insight, connection, and growth.
My clinical training included two years in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), where I worked with children and adolescents facing complex emotional challenges. I focused on creating spaces where expression could unfold safely and at each young person’s own pace.
Later, I spent over four years as an Art Psychotherapist in a university setting, offering therapy and creative workshops to students of all ages, navigating transitions, identity exploration, grief, and burnout,
supporting and holding space for their experiences with sensitivity and respect.
Across these roles, I’ve seen how creativity can support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and resilience - especially when held within a therapeutic relationship that values authenticity and trust. Now, in private practice, I offer a space where your story is met with care, your process is honoured, and your healing is supported through creative exploration.
